| I just love snow. It makes the freezing cold worth it, y'know?
So just thought I'd do a quick update on life, ministry, etc. Last Wednesday I was invited to attend the Rutgers Panhellenic meeting so that I could introduce myself to the representatives from the sororities on campus. I brought snacks and handed out a list of "programs" I could do in their houses like "Are Men and Women from Different Planets" and "Divine Secrets of the Sorority Sisterhood." The girls were really welcoming and listened intently, but then afterward, one of them came to me and explained that they took care of their educational programs at the Panhellinic meetings, so I might not get much response. So just as I began to think of other ways that I could serve the sororities, I got an e-mail from one of them asking me to come this coming Monday to do the Men and Women talk! YAAAAY!!!! Praise the LORD!
Also, want to post a pic of our cute kitty, Cali:

That's when she was a teeny baby. Rich found her wandering around away from her mommy and brought her up to show me. He put her back and then we officially adopted her about a month later. My leg got attacked pretty badly by the mom cat when we took her, but I am healed and it was worth it. I'm not an indoor cat person, so I am surprised that we like her so much!
So Cali and Zoe are best friends. They play together a lot and can sometimes be found cuddling. With it being so cold outside right now, Zoe would not be near as active if it wasn't for Cali.
Rich and I are good. We're leading a summer project together starting at the end of May and we're excited to have that adventure together. Other than that, we just love spending time together when we're not busy on campus.
I'm more at ease being on campus now that I know students better and have a feel for catalytic ministry. I'm getting to spend some discipleship time with a few girls, which I just love. We're still trying to raise our support while on campus, and it's difficult to focus on that when there's so much to be done on our campuses and what seems like so little time. So we'd definitely appreciate prayers for our support.
Anyway, I feel like I just wrote a Christmas newsletter. |
